On December 24th, 2014 Miller’s Heating & Air, had its official last day with the One Hour franchise. Now Miller’s is an independent HVAC heating and air conditioning contractor. This organizational change has helped them be able to take care of it’s customer needs more efficiently and be able to connect with its customers, clients, and the community.
Since ending their partnership with One Hour, Miller’s has had many exciting changes as a local heating company. First and foremost, Miller’s is under new management. Kathy Allen is now the General Manager. She brings with her over 17 years of management experience and holds two Social Sciences and Business Administration degrees with majors in Personnel Psychology and Human Resource Management, Management of Information Systems, and Management and Operations.
Miller’s has intentionally invested in our customers by expanding our residential AC service and heating service. We now have a Service Manager, eight full time service technicians, and seven new service vans, which you will be seeing around town. To ensure installs and repairs jobs are running as efficiently as possible, we also brought on a Warehouse Manager. As a result of the new leadership and strong team, in 2017 Miller’s had it’s largest increase in sales since 2008.
As Miller’s grows as a local heating company, we want to ensure that we are still providing world class service to our customers. We will continue to invest in our residential departments and in the customer experience. One of the ways we are continuing to improve the customer experience is through a new website.
After evaluating our old website on a routine basis, we realized that there were ways we could improve the user experience. First, we could improve the speed at which web pages loaded both on computers and on mobile devices. Second, more and more of our users were finding our website on their phones so the mobile design of the pages needed to be improved and decluttered; in fact over 60% of people who visit our website do so on mobile devices! Third, our chat was a bit clunky and didn’t have a real live person responding to our customers.
Over the last few months, we have worked tirelessly to improve upon all these areas with our new website. It loads faster, is more user friendly and is less cluttered. We did not want to overwhelm the web pages with too much information. Instead our goal is to make it easy for you to navigate to the information you are searching for. Finally, our website has a new live chat, which now has a real person responding to your questions 24/7. We hope you enjoy our new website.
