Plus, in total, installing modern heat pumps may be able to reduce our global emissions by around 500 million tons over the next five years, which would be as much as pulling all European cars off the road. To do so, we would only need heat pumps to cover around 20% of the world’s buildings, which isn’t much in the grand scheme of things.
